Record breaking Scottish cyclist Mark Beaumont will be joining thousands of cyclists for this year's new and improved freshnlo Pedal for Scotland. Scotland’s biggest bike ride just got even bigger, as you can now pick from three rides:
Challenge Ride – the classic 51 mile Glasgow to Edinburgh Challenge.
Sportive Ride – a 100 mile Glasgow to Edinburgh route aimed at the keen road cyclist.
Family Ride – a short off-road ride for families, youngsters and new cyclists.

Beaumont, who became the fastest person to cycle around the world, and recently completed a cycle ride from Alaska to the southern tip of South America, will start the ride on Sunday 12 Spetember.

Start times are now confirmed for each of the three rides.
Sportive Ride - 7.00am - 7.30am
Challenge Ride - 7.30am- 10.00am
Family Ride - 12.00pm - 4.00pm

freshnlo Pedal for Scotland beat off strong competition on Friday to win two gold awards at the Marketing Society's Star Awards.
The event, which attracted 7000 riders in 2009, won the top prize for Event Excellence and also scooped the highest accolade for Best SME (Small to Medium Enterprise) Marketing.
