Mark Beaumont

"I really enjoyed taking part in the ride, talking to cyclists
on route and hearing great enthusiasm about cycling from both
experienced and new riders.
"Pedal for Scotland is a great event for the whole family and
it's fantastic to see so many people taking up the challenge."

Former First Minister Jack Connell
"Pedal for Scotland is a great Scottish event, and it's very
encouraging to see a huge increase in participants this year. The
record number of cyclists taking part proves that cycling is an
increasingly popular pastime as people think more about their
personal health and our environment."

Chris Hoy
"Cycling has brought me a lot of pleasure, and being a Scot I
know how lucky we are to have beautiful scenery and quiet roads to
enjoy by bike. Whether you cycle for health, fun, sport or
commuting, join the ride, enjoy the day and Pedal for
Scotland."

Liz McColgan
"I've been involved with Leukaemia Research
for a number of years now, so when I heard they were getting
involved in Pedal for Scotland, I really wanted to lend my support.
I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday than cycling across
Scotland, especially when it raises much needed funds for such a
worthwhile charity".

'I love cycling and I love food. There are some fantastic
eating opportunities in Scotland and cycling is a great way to
discover Scotland - and build up an appetite! We Scots
are very fortunate to have some of the world's most
breath-taking scenery and whether it is for fun or fitness,
cycling is definitely the best way to experience dramatic
Highland glens, remote beaches and vibrant city life. I am
really looking forward to spending Sunday with so many of my
fellow cyclists'
