Event Safety
Cycle safety helmets are recommended but not compulsory.
Entrants must ensure that their bikes are roadworthy. All entrants
under the age of sixteen must be accompanied by their parents of
legal guardians. Persons with learning difficulties are welcomed
with their carers.
Children aged between 10 and 16 can ride independently in the
freshnlo Pedal for Scotland if accompanied by a responsible
adult.
Children aged 9 or under can take part in the freshnlo Pedal for
Scotland on a tag along or in a children's bike trailer.
In all cases it is the responsibility of the child's parent or
guardian to determine the ability of their child to take part in
Pedal for Scotland.
Photography and filming during and around the event
Cycling Scotland and its authorised partners and agents may be
filming or taking photographs before, during and after the event
which footage or photographs may be used for the purposes of
advertising, fundraising, display, exhibition, or promotional use
in connection with cycling and/or our other product, services and
campaigns. This might involve their use in printed material
and on the internet. In addition, film or photography may also
feature in a programme or programmes of a factual or documentary
nature ("Programme") that may be broadcast on television or on any
other media whether now in existence or not yet developed or
invented. By taking part in the event you acknowledge that your
image and the images of those riding with you may be taken in a
group or individual context and that you and those riding with you
may feature in a Programme and you consent to that. Parents
and legal guardians of child participants similarly
acknowledge on their behalf and consent to that. You agree that you
have no entitlement to inspect or approve footage or photographs
taken by Cycling Scotland authorised partners and agents.
Liability and Loss
The organiser cannot accept any liability for loss or theft of
belongings. Riders participating in Pedal for Scotland do so at
their own risk and without any liability whatsoever on the part of
the organisers in respect of any injury, loss or damage suffered
except for death or personal injury caused by negligence of the
organisers, its employees or representatives. It is the
responsibility of every participant to ensure that they are fit and
healthy to complete the ride. If you are in any doubt it would be
advisable to consult your doctor.
Refund Policy
Entry donations are non-refundable - Should you be unable to
participate in the event or wish to cancel your entry your entry
donation be treated as a charitable donation and will not be
refunded.
If you have purchased bus transportation and are unable to
attend the event or miss the allocated transport times your bus
ticket will not be refunded and will be treated as a charitable
donation.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England
and Scotland, but do not affect your statutory rights. If you have

Cancellation Policy
If the event has to be cancelled due to adverse weather,
unscheduled road closures or any other circumstances that puts
participants' safety at risk no refunds will be provided.
